12, December - 2021Introducing: The Luz BagIt was made during my thesis year. I got a small grant for pre-production. Then I thought, ‘How am I gonna get the rest?’ Me and my friends ended up having a fundraiser party I did not think was going to happen ? everything was falling apart. We had to bring a beer barrel up six flights of stairs in this warehouse. People live there, but they’re not supposed to because they don’t have permission. So many people came that I did not expect to come. We didn’t have electricity, but we knew a lot of people that were down to DJ, we had performers. We had to shut down at like 2AM. I had to take the rest [of the money to make the film] out of my savings. It was hard but it all worked out.Back
